My journey started through a few veterinary students coming together to volunteer at Nairobi National Museums of Kenya, Snake Park. We called ourselves the *Snake Charmers*. Whenever we had time in between our rotations, we would visit the snake park and offer veterinary and enrichment services as a way of improving reptile welfare. It is through my volunteer-ship that I came appreciate how big and neglected snakebite as a crisis is. Now, my endeavor is to bridge the gap between reptile conservation and human-snake conflict mitigation, starting with the people I can reach the easiest, Kenyan veterinarians.
