Stella Nanyonga

Stella is a Clinical Pharmacist currently completing an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She also holds an MSC in Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice and Policy. She is involved in pharmaceutical and health systems interventions to improve patient safety and access to medicine. Stella developed interest in snakebite awareness in 2017 when a health worker contacted her for guidance on the management of a patient who was experiencing a life-threatening adverse drug reaction due to antivenom treatment. Since then she has worked as a champion for patient safety highlighting the need for safe, accessible, affordable and effective antivenom treatment.
