Haavu Mattu Naavu (NGO)

(Bangalore, Karnataka, India)

I am a Project Manager and Snakebite Educator at Haavu Mattu Naavu, a Karnataka-based snakebite mitigation project. In the past few years, I’ve spent most of my time learning, observing and understanding snakes in the wild. It gives me immense satisfaction that I have kindled the similar interests in many young children. Currently, my main focus is primarily on reducing snakebites and mitigating snakebite deaths by educating and spreading awareness about personal safety habits, snake safety practices and correct snakebite first-aid in rural India and save lives until the time the world and India is ready with affordable-sustainable medical infrastructure and antivenom for the poor.
